Some lucky students were picked to make their own blogs on google apps! These children will teach others how to create their own. The teacher who taught us about this today was Miss Nichols. Because we are using Google Apps for Education this year in 5F and 6F we decided to create our own google site and blogger. This makes it easier for us to post our work and make comments.

We are having lots of fun because in class we have Google accounts! The teacher, Mrs Samuel gave them to us and that is very kind. If we are doing something naughty, you'll get in trouble because the teacher can see what you are doing. Even worse, the principal might see you! Just might.

Monday 10th March 2014 Maps Last week, Mrs Samuel took us for a walk around the school because we were learning how to read a map so we were drawing a map of the school. My map was so messy. I actually drew area 4 in the wrong place! A few days later, we paired up with a partner and got and got an A3 piece of paper. we had to draw every single detail so it actually looked like a bird's eye view. I was very tired when we finished!

Then we had to go back to camp site to swap activities. We were doing tramping. we tramped up the mountain and then down.Until we reached some steep steps. Our leader told us to hold on to the rail. It took around 5 minutes to get to the bottom of those stairs. Finally we got to the bottom. I was starving. So we ate our lunch. I had ... Lets skip what I had for lunch. That's not very interesting. our last activity was cooking sausages and setting up a tent

We break into small groups so there are lots of people having a turn at once. Each team has a team leader and they are responsible for listening to their team, making decisions and being as fair as possible. I can't wait until Wednesday! By Movindu Week 1 - Term 1 - 2014 Here is our awesome looking class. Already this term we have put our names and birth dates on the cupcakes on the wall (which are not edible!!!). We have also learnt an important memory tool which has 20 words in it. On the first day we created our very own name doodles - we wrote our name and made each letter into something that represented us as a person. After reading a story called The Tree Hut Treaty, we came up with our own 5F treaty which helps us to get along with each other during the year. We will be going on a trip to the Botanical Gardens this term and we are going to be cooking sausages on an open fire. We are also looking forward to Life Education next week and meeting Harold the Giraffe. On Friday we had our very first Team Assembly where Justin, Kyla and Trevon got a certificate. See you next Monday for a new update. We couldn't resist posting a funny photo because we have been practising how to be serious when we need to be and how important it is to have a little bit of fun! Check out the songs we are singing in the Year 4 Team:
Today Tom brought this amazing remote control car you control it from his iPad tho. When the class gets 25 dojos we get to play with the car and
‘Each individual child is a treasure chest, full of potential. The right teacher is needed to unlock them.’
Be a positive, fun and enthusiastic role model – never lose the spark!
Ensure children are crew, not passengers.
Motivate and inspire - promote a love of learning.
Create a positive learning environment where children feel they belong.
Build children’s self confidence by making children aware of why they are special.
Encourage children to be creative.
Be a life long learner myself
Learn from those younger than me – especially the kids!
